DVD links- how are they stored?

DVD video is a very complicated format. The vob files, I believe, are the actual video and the bup and ifo files store the information about the soundtrack, subtitles, etc. I'm not quite sure, but there is a program called DVDAuthor that will generate the DVD folder/file structure given an XML file defining the menu, etc. The doentation for the program reveals a lot about the DVD format. a href="http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/docs/" rel="nofollow"http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/docs//a
