My brothers corn snake has escaped?

He went to check her 'cage' and shes missing. He only looked in his room.. Hes annoyed about it and wants to get a new one because he misses the one he hasand thinks shes dead now ( i doubt because she went missing this morning), but its got to be around the house, right? I dont know anything about snakes so how would you go about finding it? What places do they like to hide in in a house? shes quite small and on pinkies still...Could you use them as bait?
