I need opinions. A woman I'm interested in has a friend that is coming on to me. Should I tell the woman I'm

interested in and ruin their friendship, or just brush her off and hope she gets a clue? I didnt mean to ruin a friendship. They are just starting the rekindling the friendship and the friend has been competitive and jealous in the past. Is it my duty to tell the woman I'm interested in?
