You have it wrong. Pork is forbidden to the Jews, not the Christians. If you read the New Testament, there is a section in there (sorry, not sure of chapter and verse) that has Jesus telling Peter that it is not what goes into a man's mouth that makes him unclean, but what he believes inside. Also, Jesus says he came to take away the Law of Moses, which would include the eating restrictions. Christians are Not Bound by the laws of the Old Testament, but by the Spirit of the Law in the New Testament.
