How to resolve money and relationship issue?

First off, IMMEDIATELY stop paying your dead beat brother a dime! Use that rent money (as you call it) to save up for a place of your own. It shouldn't take more than a few months. If your brother whines over it, you tell him to take it out of what he owes you! If you are afraid of being kicked out, don't be. If you get any mail there, you have legally established it as your residence and he must evict you (if he can do that, even). I would, after you move out, strongly suggest that you sue your brother for the money he owes you. By helping him, you only hurt yourself. You should've used that money for a downpayment on YOUR house. Good luck!
