Fluorescent light bulb?

My fluorescent light bulb broke right over me. I stayed there for a good minute or 2 wondering what broke. Then i realized it was the bulb. I left the room for a minute came back in took it out threw it away stayed out of the room for another 4 minutes went back in layed down then left for 5 minutes. Is it possible i can become ill and or die from this since it contains mercury? I dont know much bout these bulbs besides what i hear. So i dont know if im safe or in danger. Can anyone lighten my scare of this?
