Child protection esment!Help?

I'm just looking for a bit of imformation with things to do with child protection services.No harsh comments please.It's come as a huge shock.But anyway my partner(Baby's dad)has schitzophernia(Medicated)and sees physicist,well he's been seeing new ones and obviously what he's told them about his past(years ago)they've gone back saying the unborn baby may be at risk.But he's never been convicted of any violence and everything else is in the past.He's brilliant with kids.We have a conference next week but what will happen at it?Can they stop him from seeing the baby or do they have to go to court for it?Also i've read they have esments as early as 13 weeks but no later than 24 weeks,whereas I'm 38 weeks 2 days..They made out to me depending if the meeting goes a certain way,if I continue to have a relationship with him then they will take the baby in to care.I really need some advice please
